Yesterday, I received a Letter from New Hanover Regional Medical Center that in part states: "The purpose of this letter is to infom you that you have been approved for the NHRMC Extended Economic Hardship Financial Assistance Program from 7/11/2019 to 02/21/2020. This approval may also cover services/accounts up to 8 months prior to this approval date."
It also states that the Program does NOT cover doctors, Anesthesiologists, Pathologists, etc. -- while BEFORE many of these honored the Program too. So what is covered has SHRUNK -- but it will still be a HUGE HELP.
I was so SURPRISED that I got it so SOON after I delivered the Denial from Medicaid to them LATE on this past Wednesday, 8/21, http://theweathercontinues.blogspot.com/2019/08/weird-email-from-wway-tv-3-today.html, and the Letter is postmarked 8/22.
I really thought the way "Miss Jane" -- as everyone called the woman at the desk who dealt with me -- handled asking in back if I'd need to resubmit everything else or not (she stayed far too long for such a simple question), that in fact they were deciding I WOULD GET IT (Jane's GIANT SMILE gave that away), but she could not then tell me that.

The bells in Sewanee's Breslin Tower will toll for one minute on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. to remember and honor the first enslaved Africans who landed in English North America in 1619.
By ringing the bells, the University joins a nationwide series of Healing Day events being held to commemorate the 400th anniversary of that landing.
Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has invited churches and institutions to join in the commemoration as part of the Episcopal Church's continued work toward racial healing and reconciliation.
