I adore and am lost in your evocative writing style!!!
I thank you for putting right in the beginning of your book, that to PASS Sewanee's (University of the South's), CENSORS -- including Thomas Elliot Keith -- you willingly lied about Tennessee's Death, since the possiblity of a medicine bottle cap or similar could NOT have choked Tom, and in fact was never found in his mouth or windpipe. As ALL KNOW WELL (I'm including some Williams Scholars and similar), the Coroner, months later, CHANGED the cause of death to Sudden Intolerance to Seconal -- a drug Tennessee had taken most of his adult life to sleep.
Here is how I handled it in my Memoir -- as you SEE, John Uecker, who smothered Tenn with a pillow, directed me to write MY BOOK to pass those same sensors -- but they actually NEVER intended to publish it and sent all of my photos and similar BACK -- without ever breaking the individual seals on the envelopes. The coroner, Elliot Gross, on the scene the morning of Tennessee Williams’ death, determined that Tennessee’s body may have become intolerant of the drugs he had used throughout his life, and in the end they had simply overwhelmed his system. Tennessee’s health had declined, and during his last year, he had lost a lot of weight. A medicine bottle top such as the type used in eye drops was not found in his air passage as reported, and in any case, as Gross later acknowledged, would not have been large enough to restrict airflow. Gross was certain that the event that had caused Tennessee’s death was inadvertent.
He filed a false report stating that the playwright had died by choking on a medicine bottle top. He had surmised that if the press, clamoring loudly outside the hotel, heard that any drug had been part of the cause of death, they would report it as an overdose or suicide—an unjust verdict—but one that would live in the mind of the public forever.
Six months later, after the hubbub died down, Gross quietly corrected his report. 1 The legacy Gross left is that for all these years, most, like myself, erroneously believed Williams died by choking.

Also interesting, is that Vassilis Voglis, whom Uecker called FIRST, arrived at the Elysee' in his running suit, and when they decided to go ahead and call Authorities, Vassilis said he'd change into something less casual of Tennessee's clothes -- but Uecker stopped him -- Tennessee had a BAD INFESTATION of Crab Lice!!!
At that time, and even later, I thought that was TOO EMBARASSING to mention, and in 1990, when I made my way to Kenan Oil's HQ in Chapel Hill, I arrived after hours, and the 6' 8" President (who ACTUALLY put Kenan Advantage Group together -- Dennis Nash is listed as the first President), to be the LARGEST Trucking Company in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, was working alone, was VERY kind to me, and sat me at Thomas S. Kenan III's desk and had me call Tom at home.
I TRIED to trade this SECRET about the death of Tennessee Williams for HIS SECRET of the outcome of the THIRD Autopsy of Mary Lily (Kenan) Flagler, and later Bingham he had ordered perfomed in 1989 -- and 60 MINUTES did a segment on that which I'd seen that year, but Tom REFUSED to divulge it!!!

But I want to make EXTRA CLEAR that I SALUTE YOU for that necessary lie -- and your putting it up front so the OTHER Williams People know the price you had to pay to get your book published. Were you writing a Biography, I'd be FURIOUS with you, but you are writing about Blanche -- and absolutely NOTHING about that character changes because of the manner of Tennessee's Death.
I'm STILL caught up in POLITICS so badly, I'll have to SAVOR your book, reading a Chapter at a time -- how I read only THE BEST OF BOOKS. Like Kenneth Holditch wrote about reading my manuscript, when he finally got to it, he found it was in fact as good as his first impression. I BET I find that TRUE about your book!!!

Correcting WRAL's Unethical, ENTIRELY False, Unsourced, Corrupt & Cruel "Reporting"
This is a formal request that should not be necessary, but WRAL if the organization has any integrity, any ethical standards, any interest in truthful reporting rather than spreading ENTIRELY invented, purely fictional, taxpayer financed corrupt smears to destroy and in retaliation, evil, and to undermine the threat to North Carolina's, and New Hanover County and S.E. N.C. in particular, cherished "Culture of Corruption."
The direct and indirect damage from WRAL's totally invented story with no sources whatsoever, claiming behavior with no film or photographic evidence except a wealth of witnesses present with every incentive to lie and no risk to doing so on the record, in addition to extensive media presence, photographic and film recordings, all lead to the same consistent facts, yet citing only "media" with no sources or evidence whatsoever, WRAL spread purely defamatory, life-ruining, and anti-democratic disinformation of a purely evil, cruel, damaging and highly consequential nature and has NEVER acknowledged let alone corrected or made any attempt to set the record straight with a factual update to replace or address in even the most insignificant manner the invented story WRAL copied and spread throughout the state despite it's clearly fictional content, and the total deviation from the lowest ethical journalistic standards reflected in publishing such clearly invented and deliberately defamatory and corrupt narratives. Far from satisfying high ethical standards or even average or low standards of conduct, WRAL showed that it has no Ethics whatsoever in its reporting.
Apart from the cruelty and life-ruining consequences and damage I've endured personally from your spreading without any source or verification or evidence a blatantly false narrative with no semblance whatsoever in reality or truthfulness, even in the most clear and easy to define aspects. You declared I conducted myself in a way that never happened, in a place I've never been in my life, not the day you claimed this conduct occurred, not any time prior to that date or any time since, I have never been in the place you claimed the conduct occurred. Further, there were hundreds of witnesses and media and law enforcement and you claimed my conduct was criminal, yet NOT ONE of the criminally corrupt, unethical and long-established perpetrators of criminal and sadistic corruption present has ever gone on record or even been questioned by any media in regards to the verification of the false statements put forward despite no, not one, witness of record or review of the extensive film and photographic recordings from that place at that time, except that showing New Hanover County Board of Commissioners Chairman Woody White physically assaulting me for shaking Gov. Pat McRory's hand and handing him a document from a domestic violence victim who was subjected to further victimization and no justice from corrupt D.A. Benjamin David. I requested that Gov. McRory, who unbeknownst to the violent and corrupt Board Chairman, knew me and recognized me, and despite my thanking the Governor for coming to Wilmington that day and asking him to "consider having your people review this document from a domestic violence victim," an appropriate message and conduct between elected officials nobody would question or deem inappropriate and captured on film and photographically, the physicial assault from Mr. White who seemed to presume the document was related to other misconduct and acted in a criminal manner to strike me and physically attack me to prevent through physical force a routine and normal professional transfer of a several page document on film and inarguably criminal in any jurisdiction where Rule of Law, official integrity, civil and Constitutional rights, human decency and respect for representative democracy exist in any degree whatsoever. Wilmington is not and has a long history, a well-documented history, up to the present day, of violent no-limits abuses of power, rampant government and judicial system corruption and law enforcement brutality including the use of armed attacks and violence against elected officials who dare, rarely ever, to oppose the institutional corruption and any perceived threats from victims or grieving families who speak out and suffer unspeakable violence, trauma, death threats, home invasions, property crimes, false arrests and terror at the hands of corrupt officials esp. the D.A. and his staff and Sheriff and Deputies who direct and engage in habitual acts of sadism, armed attacks and terror-inducing threats of death and lynching compelling those targeted to flee for their lives and left with lifelong trauma, physical disabling injuries and destroyed families, theft of or destroyed property and shattered economic and career prospects and ruined reputations, a fate worse than death and more cruel than being shot in the head. Those are the values and nature of corruption in Wilmington under DA Ben David, Sheriff Ed McMahon, Rep. Ted Davis and the criminally corrupt personnel who dominate New Hanover County Government, law enforcement and the criminal justice system, and even child abuse, embezzlement of Federal funds intended for the most vulnerable, disadvantaged children, and sexually abused children and their grieving families are subjected to horrific crimes with no justice and no accountability and severe, life-altering and inhumane from the same officials. These statements are supported by extensive evidence from numerous independent sources with no conflicts of interest, including recorded conversations, documentation, names and contact information for hundreds of witnesses and years of consistent and extensive evidence provided to the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, F.B.I., U.S. Attorneys Office, N.C. Attorney General and media and non-profit organizations including the ACLU and NAACP who are on-record declaring that acting on such evidence would potentially threaten future activities in the region and punitive reaction from officials which renders protecting children, including children who have suffered horrific criminal abuse and rapes at the hands of popular elected officials and those in positions of trust and authority protected and aided by those entrusted to enforce the law and protect victims, yet in Wilmington these institutions and officials including County Governemnt leaders,, DA Ben David and his staff, and law enforcement oand judicial officials who not only refuse to protect victims but target young victims for retaliation if they speak out, and use violence and brutality and habitual criminal misconduct "Under Color of Law" to target whistleblowers, democratic processes, and government and law enforcement integrity and transparency as causes not meriting the local media, State officials or the aforementioned respected advocacy organizations from risking other priorities for those that have been absent and prevented in New Hanover County and the Cape Fear region's "Culture of Corruption."
WRAL's disregard for and absence of any ethical standards or concern for publishing truthful journalistic content not only destroyed my life and supported torture and violence resulting in permanent damage, it undermined years of outreach and provision of extensive actionable evidence under penalty of perjury to Federal officials including the known abuses against child victims and sexual abuse of children and innocent victims - contributing to increasing numbers of victims and preventing any intervention or action for years...victims who could have and should have been spared at least a decade before officials with actionable evidence that could have spared numerous victims and their families from so much grief and suffering.
Media lies, your lies, have real consequences and your unethical reporting intentionally or unintentionally has resulted in police brutality, injustice, homicides, criminal misconduct, corruption and evil abuses of power by a community and officials with disdain for Judeo-Christian values, integrity, justice, civil, Constitutional and human rights, and the Rule of Law and democratic processes and governance.
Though ethics should be championed by all media and public institutions, in the case of WRAL, with no justification offered other than the acceptance of total absence of integrity and ethics pervasive and accepted in Cape Fear media, this corrupt and deceptive and cruel conduct warrants acknowledgement, explanation, and systemic reforms to ensure that in the future WRAL will cease its support for corruption and illegal official misconduct and smear campaigns intended to destroy and discredit opponents and victims of corruption and violent criminal misconduct so pervasive and accepted throughout N.C. and thorough public awareness of demonstrably deceitful and malicious false narratives identified in WRAL's past reporting to reflect the truth and facts albeit far too late but appropriate if WRAL values trust, integrity and ethics in reporting at all...then this request to demonstrate some semblance of those concepts should be a reasonable request.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and please request any evidence or documentation deemed necessary to substantiate any all assertions included in this request provided a willingness to act and report on that evidence heretofore ignored and concealed from the public by WRAL in support of its unethical media peers and public corruption championed in North Carolina and N.C. Government and public agencies.
