As Readers of my Memoir all know, Tennessee Williams and I BOTH LOVED both hamburgers and hot dogs -- how AMERICAN!!!
We normally ate and traveled in TOTAL LUXURY when not in Key West, where Tenn was treated like any other islander. But we often, when tired, went out in search of the PERFECT HAMBURGER. Texas Kate grew up in Atlanta, Georgia -- BEST FRIENDS with Frank Hawkins Kenan and his brother James "Uncle Jimmy" Graham Kenan -- who THEN RAN all of the Kenan Companies and Charities until their deaths in 1996.
BOTH were HIGH in the Ku Klux Klan!!!
They TAUGHT Kate to act like the WEALTHIEST WOMAN in the WORLD, so Kate was who Tennessee Williams based the character Babe Foxworth on in In Masks Outrageous and Austere :
