Dr. Michael Novak was conceived in the afterglow of the Indians’ last World Series Championship and born among the Czechs, Slovenians, and Hungarians of east Cleveland. The third child of second generation immigrants, he was the last member of his family to learn accordion and the first to complete high school.
Transcripts indicate that he attended Denison University from 1968-1972, receiving an A.B. in History. He then spent seven years studying and teaching at Harvard University, finally exiting in 1979 with a PhD in European Intellectual History and an abiding attachment to Boston sports teams. He then joined his wife Martha Gagliano in North Carolina, and taught for seven years at NCSU while she completed her medical training in Pediatrics at Duke University.
In 1986 he had the good fortune to begin teaching at Meredith College, from which institution he expects to be carried out feet first. His special teaching interests are Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation Europe, Western Civilization, Eastern Europe, and the 20th Century World.
For recreation he attempts tennis and squash, plays Irish string band music and exchanges practical jokes with his son, Matthew, born in 1993.

Hi Michael Novak!!!
Surely you remember my 6' 11" self!!! When I saw mention of you in the beautiful piece In Memorium of Professor John Kessler, whom I had freshman year for German, and who really was a beautiful soul, I was, I've wondered for YEARS what happened to you!!!
And this is EXACTLY what Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Dean Hansell (DU '74), said when I got in touch with him, several years ago. Dean headed Denison Community Association in 1972, when he listed a club for GAYS. ONLY my good friends and I -- James Culver Anderson and Bert Bennett III (who turned out to be CURIOUS but is successfully married to a woman, today) -- showed up and I took charge, and then we did a "What It's Like to be Gay at Denison" WDUB radio show -- 45 minutes of interviews with us, followed by 45 minutes of call-in comments and questions -- and we got NO FLACK FROM ANYONE -- and everyone knew who we were -- we all had distinctive voices.
Dean Hansell didn't come out until after I graduated, but he's had one of the most distinguished careers -- he was Asst. Atty. Gen. of Illinois, won Michael Jackson's mother her LARGEST award against the record companies, served as Police Commissioner of Los Angeles, won GLAAD's Founder's Award, and then Gov. Brown appointed him to the LARGEST Court in Los Angeles!!!
And poor little me had a HUGE CRUSH on him the January Term we spent living in the second poorest county in the nation -- in West Tennessee -- giving out nutrition info and registering voters. We shared a double-bed chastely -- and he was oblivious -- but NOT NOW!!!
But I get along with just about NO ONE at Denison today -- because I won't SHUT UP about a lot of irregularities there -- that might have started when my NAZI Kenan relatives gave Denison something over $1,000,000,00 in 1974 or '75 -- the SECOND LARGEST GIFT for the General Endowment ever then received.
I had NOTHING to do with that -- and back then I had NO IDEA how rich and powerful the Kenan Family is. I am about the sixth cousin of Family Figurehead Thomas S. Kenan III, dated his ex-long-time boyfriend Curtis "Robbie" Anderson in Kenan-built Carolina Apartments in Wilmington in 1985 -- while Blue Velvet was being filmed there, and have communicated many times with Tom -- even delivering a Letter in person to his office in Chapel Hill -- but he BLOCKED ME PERMANENTLY about two years ago.
One of the BEST THINGS about you, is that you ALWAYS had a GREAT sense of HUMOR and a great WIT!!! You also are the one person who would lend your car -- a Mustang I barely fit into -- to drive to the Kismet gay club in Columbus. And this happened after you graduated, but one time, when I entered it THREE DENISON FRATERNITY PRESIDENTS -- including Michael Stover -- ran out the BACK DOOR -- and it was my ROOMMATE, the coolest guy, Steve Fretwell, President of Interfraternity Council, who told me that!!!
Steve and I were co-Head Residents of Huffman Hall, he by virtue of election to that Presidency -- and I won by student election.
The ONLY Denison President who got along with me was Joel Smith. But they HATED HIM, and tossed him out. He was BIPOLAR, his wife divorced him, and eventually he committed suicide. Alan Weinberg is TOTALLY CORRUPTED and has had Denison STOP sending all alumni and other emails to me about nine months ago. I ONLY get the mailed edition of Denison magazine.
Perhaps the BIGGEST PROBLEM is that they hired corrupted Dem Sen. Sherrod Brown's wife, Connie Schultz, to teach Journalism beginning next fall. I have confronted both her and Sherrod over Connie getting her Pulitzer while a TOP JOURNALIST for USA Today /Gannett Group.

first covered up when Mayor Saffo and Councilman Charlie Rivenbark (both Dems then), MURDERED my friend Evan Fish in 2011 -- because Evan could PROVE that my employer of twenty years, Patrick Lee Stansbury of Pentagon Publishing, Inc., of Snellville, GA , supplied the Politicians of BOTH Parties and many Christian Clergy and Churches in Wilmington with HARD DRUGS flown into Maxwell AFB -- including the HEROIN loaded in Afghanistan by the SON of my best friend in the Puerto Vallarta Writers Group, who was second in charge of the Hillary Clinton State Department, then.

Dorothy Newman -- then my best friend in Atlanta -- got me there because she KNEW that my own Family, employer, the Republican Party of Georgia, and CIA planned to KILL ME -- since they had been unable to COMMIT ME in Georgia.
My mother has so far apologized for DESTROYING my financial life FOUR TIMES, now, but does NOT apologize for trying to have me murdered. My siblings are CLUELESS and totally under Mom's Mind Control. Mom Headed Labs at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio when they got Dr. Josef Mengele's notes on Mind Control and developed them FURTHER for the Roman Catholic Church and CIA -- they eventually named Project MK-ULTRA after Mom's initials of her two surnames.
My parents were friends with TONS OF TOP REPUBLICANS as well as FOX NEWS HOSTS, and when I first blogged in 2010 that I'd been told in 1990 by top Jews in Atlanta that my parents were literally AMERICA'S TOP NAZIS, all HELL broke loose -- and Dottie had to get me to Mexico!!!
Rob Reiner's first cousin Jonathan Reiner -- who has his own Emmys now, too -- made me an HONORARY JEW!!! And I have worked directly with Rob Reiner and David Frum -- and MANY OTHERS -- to get Trump into PRISON!!!
My Kenan Family, controlling Exxon-Mobil, Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Kenan Advantage Group (the largest trucker in the USA, Canada, and Mexico -- hauling Petroleum Products -- and they had partnered with Paul McCartney's wife Nancy Shevell's Shevell Trucking ILLEGAL DRUGS up and down the East Coast), the Ku Klux Klan, Episcopal Church, entire Republican Party, and the Clinton/Biden Democrats.
This is why NO DEMOCRATS trust Joe Biden AT ALL -- he, Joe Manchin, Kirsten Sinema, and others like Rahm Emanuel, Brett McGurk, Henry Cuellar, Jim Clyburn -- and OTHER TRAITOROUS DEMS -- get TONS OF MONEY from my Kenan Family's EXXON-MOBIL campaign donations.

What is important to remember is that I have NEVER BEEN HAPPIER, and although I now have survived cancer, have a Pacemaker and take a fistful of Heart Meds -- ALL physical ailments are WELL CONTROLLED. I'm no longer homeless, and my PUBLIC BLOGGING and sending to those I criticize as well as allies, has kept me from being MURDERED BY CHRISTIANS -- although not ALL Christians are bad people.
