For those who asked: Yes, it does appear the 'guaranteed maximum price' (GMP) of Project Grace , the downtown library redevelopment project, is increasing by about $5.4 million dollars.

Some of you voiced frustration based on the wording of the previous GMP. As one reader asked, "What does guaranteed even mean?"

County commissioners will be discussing this on Monday during their regular meeting, which starts at 4 p.m. I'm sure they'll be going over the reasons for the increase, and we'll have an update after that.

Remember: When I literally ran into Mayor Saffo on 9-28-2019, and confronted him for having tried to MURDER ME, he disappeared down Front Street and a few minutes later, he walked back and then down the side of my Kenan Family's still empty original main branch of Bank of America to photograph River Place !!!

So, I walked toward him (not wanting to scare him by running), he saw me, panicked, and ran down the path that takes a sharp left turn behind the former bank and comes back to ground level in a parking lot (or did then)!!!
