While Henry Flagler DID IN FACT own 60% stock in railroads in the USA overall (WHY Ida Tarbell, Journalist, claimed the Standard Oil "Caliphate" was so effective at controlling oil prices, but THAT was never broken up, and the Kenans inherited ALL OF IT!!!) -- he ALSO owned the most stock in Standard Oil, ALL of which he had left to Mary Lily Kenan (originally of Wilmington, NC), and she left to her immediate family, now headed by Thomas S. Kenan III of Chapel Hill, NC and his step-mother, Betty (Price) Kenan of Durham, NC.

My OWN parents, William Scott Kenan and Ruth Anne (Meyer) Kenan LOVED THE BINGHAMS -- although the Binghams were nominally Progressive/Liberal Democrats -- and helped plan the assassination of John F. Kennedy with them and others -- a Vice President of Pepsi-Cola (a North Carolina company, originally), regularly gave my nearly impoverished parents gifts in the late 1950s.
So we had to MOVE to West Chester, PA two weeks before JFK was assassinated, and my mother told EVERYONE that Catholics ONLY voted for Kennedy because he was Catholic, and let EVERYONE KNOW she loved The Louisville Courier Journal as the BEST paper in the world -- which was what today is called a "DOG WHISTLE", to attract other deep-under-cover CIA operatives to her.
Only a few years ago, I got in touch with his daughter Sallie Bingham after reading her book -- and learning SHE had not only DESTROYED the Bingham Media Empire, but had begun a Foundation honoring Mary Lily (Kenan) Flagler, Bingham to support WOMEN'S CAUSES, and to honor the Kenan Woman her grandfather had MURDERED to get the $5,000,000.00 Codicil to her Will (written under HEAVY influence of Cocaine and Laudanum, which Mary Lily used to relieve symptoms of Tertiary Syphilis -- before penicillin).
That was $96,298,437.50 in TODAY'S (2018), DOLLARS!!!
