Getting right to the matter at hand, I found this on Facebook from an Atlanta friend:
Pharma’s Favorite Democrat Is Giving the Official Response to Trump State of the Union
Frankly, this whole thing makes me a little SICK -- because having known so many of JFK's generation of Kennedys and Jackie Kennedy Onassis as well -- I must have been consumed with NOSTALGIA not to research Joe P. Kennedy further before giving him any kind of endorsement.
Of immediate concern is that Joe Kennedy TAKES so much money from BIG PHARMA, and owns considerable stock in Gilead Sciences Inc. that makes a Hep C drug that it charges $1,000.00 per pill, or $84,000.00 for the full treatment, and when Hep C mushroomed in Massachusetts that drug nearly BANKRUPTED Massachusetts' healthcare budget.
But Joe Kennedy did NOT divest, and makes "Donald Trump excuses" for it. NO WONDER Fox News just LOVES JOE KENNEDY!!!
Additionally Joe Kennedy FIRMLY OPPOSES both Universal Health Care and Legalization of Marijuana.
My suggestion is that people turn to Maxine Waters' response to the State of the Union Address.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is slated to provide her own nationally televised response to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Waters will deliver her remarks on the BET program “Angela Rye’s State of the Union,” according to a report by BuzzFeed News.
Waters’ speech is not part of the Democratic Party’s official response to the president, which is due to be delivered by Rep. Joseph Kennedy III (D-Mass.).
