I stepped out to take this photo -- only TWELVE showed up when George Vlasits began to speak, but the crowd had doubled by the time the several speakers had finished.
Harper Peterson grew up on a farm, sharing a two-bedroom house with his parents, five brothers and sisters, and his grandparents. His grandmother reminded them to count their blessings each and every day, and to always help others less fortunate – values that Harper has carried throughout his life.
Harper attended Chapel Hill, where he was inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece – UNC’s oldest and highest honorary society – and received All-American honors in lacrosse. Thereafter, he volunteered as an English teacher with the Presbyterian Church in Thailand and worked as Director of Youth Activities for Chapel Hill before moving to New Hanover County in the 1970s.
For the past 45 years, Harper has lived and worked on the coast. For the past four decades, Harper and his wife, Plunkett, have raised five children and have been successful partners in starting local businesses.
Harper served on the Wilmington City Council and as Wilmington’s mayor in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Harper served and serves on numerous community boards, including Girls Inc., Dram Tree Shakespeare, Bald Head Island Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Business Alliance, along with serving as a founding member of both Cape Fear River Watch and Clean Cape Fear.
Now, Harper is ready again to serve the community that has meant so much. As State Senator, he will work to ensure North Carolina’s education system prepares our state’s children to succeed in the modern economy, while working with business and civic leaders to create an economy that rewards an honest day’s work. He will fight to rein in our out-of-control political system through the creation of an independent redistricting commission that will remind politicians that the voters of our state are in charge. And because nothing matters if we don’t have safe, clean water, Harper will protect our families by working to ensure dangerous polluters are held accountable.

Of special interest to me, is that Mr. Peterson was (is still???), deeply involved in the Presbyterian Church. Readers know, that in early 2010 -- before Colin Powell's people got me to Political Exile in Mexico -- I visited Liberty Hall in Kenansville, and the staff allowed me to browse through several of the Kenans' original 200 - 300 year old books of Presbyterian Theology and Philosophy, and I was SHOCKED to see that it was nearly identical to Science of Mind, the New Thought School I had studied in for years in Atlanta with the President of Religious Science, International, Dr. J. Kennedy Schultz, who was a close friend to Mother Teresa, Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (whom I also studied under), and even an acquaintance of Donald Trump (they were seat-mates on an international flight in the late 1970s).
Also, he is involved in Dram Tree Shakespeare, http://dramtreeshakes.org/index.html, and I had MY Shakespearean adventure living on Dunsinane Drive in West Chester, PA -- in Birnam Place development, which was separated by a train track from Birnam Wood development -- until the rail line folded, tracks were ripped up, and Birnam Wood therefore came to Dunsinane!!!

And Maria St. Just worked primarily with John Eastman (Tennessee Williams's last attorney), of Eastman & Eastman of NYC, then the largest entertainment law firm, as well as Michael Remer, an attorney for The University of the South (Sewanee), the Republican Party (a top legislator in the Tennessee State Republican Party paid for the luxury lifestyles of Schuyler "Skye" Wyatt and Gary Tucker, who did the DIRTY WORK after I was gotten out of the way, late April 1982, for them to prepare Tennessee for his murder by hand of John Uecker, whose email address, landline and cell phone were all shut down about two months ago in NYC -- but given his long history in theater (and addicting his acting student James Gandolfini to drugs and also possibly murdering playwright James Purdy, who left his ENTIRE ESTATE to Uecker), I figure that since I can find no OBITUARY, Uecker has gone into hiding.

Another item on John Eastman, is that he managed Paul McCartney's -- married to his sister Linda -- finances, and SCREWED the rest of the Beatles out of most of their rights, as well as with the CIA, had John Lennon murdered. Before moving on to my sister Julia Ruth (Kenan) Duffy, now of Downingtown, PA and HEAD of Teva Pharmaceuticals' (an Israeli firm), Latin America Drug Trials (the results-accounting rather than the trials), I think it is very INTERESTING that Julie declared at the MOMENT Sarah Palin was ANNOUNCED to be John McCain's running mate in 2008 (I happened to be visiting her and my brother Mike in Pennsylvania), she WHOOPED FOR JOY, claiming Sarah (whom I NEVER had heard of until then), was her TOP HERO OF ALL TIME!!!
And in Wilmington, North Carolina -- in 2011 -- I met on Front Street a Marine and his buddies on leave, partying, whom they all called "Alaska". When I asked him HOW he got that name, he said he had grown up in Wasilla, Alaska, BEST FRIENDS with Track Palin and often partied in their home. HE claimed that EVERYONE in Wasilla knew that Todd Palin had a lot of SEX WITH GUYS on the sly -- HA!!!
This is COMMON among Republican Politicians -- but some Democrats as well -- including Wilmington Politicians Benjamin R. David (a secret so well kept that FEW at the protest today knew it). Lee was VERY HANDSOME (and I was ENVIOUS of D.A. Ben David):

And of course it was Denise Renee Wood, the gun-slinging, ex-con with 43 Felonies as an International Drug Mule, now working with Mayor Bill Saffo's Drug Mafia, who NEVER had her gun rights removed, and lived downstairs from me on 4th Street -- until first SHE MOVED (afraid of the power of this blog, and SHE then scared landlady Gold Walker into trying to EVICT ME, but Gold relented and moved me OUT of the narco-trafficking scene in her properties on 4th Street, instead -- to my new address where everyone is FAR LEFT and smokes pot, only).

He not only PUSHED THIS ISSUE, but tried to YANK ALL THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDS supporting the Heroin-Trafficking organization, Good Shepherd Center (founded by a top Republican at First Presbyterian, and after MOST Churches that supported it originally DROPPED IT because staff had embezzled enough funds to buy cars and boats. ONLY Mayor Saffo's St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox, First Presbyterian (D.A. Ben David, Judge Lindsey McKee Luther -- the only Republican of these -- are now ELDERS there -- Judge Robin Robinson is a Deacon, and so was Judge Jeffrey Noecker until recently -- proving that in WILMINGTON you don't have to be a REPUBLICAN to be a big NARCO-TRAFFICKER, no???), and First Baptist (the one on Kenan Plaza), STILL support the Shepherd, TODAY!!!
The DEMOCRATS FORCED most public funds to continue to support the Shepherd's HEROIN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM!!!
