American Airlines, Apple, Google, Lowe's, NBA, NCAA, ESPN and other major corporations are among those weighing in on the new legislation invalidating anti-discrimination statues currently in place in statewide municipalities, which was signed by N.C governor Pat McCrory on Wednesday. It appears the new law is not conducive to doing business in the Old North State.
Please note I am born, bred and publicly educated in the Great State of North Carolina. Since my mother, my sister, brother, niece, nephew, great-niece and many other relatives and friends live there, I still consider that I have a vested interest in the restoration of the Great reputation that North Carolina once proudly held as being one of the most Progressive States with one of the best educational systems as well as one of the best designed and maintained highway systems in the United States.
In the past decade or less, it seems that the Bus of Government has been hi-jacked by extremists who would throw the forward movement of Progress into reverse and decimate ALL that once made the state of NC great. The opportunity for change comes once again in November with the Statewide elections for the Office of Governor, the State Legislature and the Presidential election.
