Hi Michael -- I had meant to send this also by FB messenger last night -- but forgot. One of the MANY things about being back in touch with you that is valuable to me, is that I have been reminded about Kate's PUSH of Tennessee to find out what happened to his HUGE royalties that had accumulated in the Soviet Union -- the ruble NOT being convertible back then. She was pushing to go buy and bring back tons of FURS to sell in the USA to try to recoup some of that money.
I have previously written Vladimir Putin about this mystery, and gotten no answer -- NO Williams scholars I've met ever think about this or know a thing -- but Maria St. Just was WELL AWARE of it and she was from Russia -- and controlled one of the most important banks, The Grenfell Bank (now part of Deutsche Bank, I believe), via Peter Grenfell, the 2nd Lord St. Just, her husband.
Anyway, I shall have FUN today writing my old buddy Vlad. So chime in on Skype if you are not too busy having some FUN with the locals!!!

Hey Michael -- I am fixin' to smoke the "herbal bouquet" and toast Miss Kate, so I will make this short (I think). I bought the fixin's for Tanqueray Martinis today, and my roommate part of his rent in vegetative commodities -- and I CAN'T write under the influence of much at all.
So here are a couple of postings that will give you a nutshell of SOME I've had to deal with:
As I've tried to make clear, I was BUILT to handle all I have with EASE (not always fun, and often there's been pain of a carcinoma removed from my foot that took 12 months to heal closed -- but I still have to move MYSELF up and down flights of stairs. Also had 3-day stay in Puerto Vallarta hospital for water in lungs, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmia 18 months ago -- but am FINE today!!!

Now you might go CRAZY trying to read all of that, but I BET you see I will write a whole SERIES of fabulous books on my experience. The boyfriends are only parts of these postings.

Maria St. Just in Wilbury, her Palladian home featured in several Merchant Ivory films that was the source of the name of the Traveling Wilburys, no???
In May 1988 Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, George Harrison, and Roy Orbison (above) got together and calling themselves The Travelling Wilburys, more or less by accident wrote and recorded an album.

Christmas Trees from my youth. They just looked better somehow. The colored bulbs were bigger and the tinsel wasn't plastic and hung instead like long jeweled necklaces ... ah, the golden era ...

I love these old pics of Christmas trees in the 40s and 50s, naturally shaped and loaded with real aluminum tinsel that has NOT been thrown on the tree in wads. Blasphemy!
