Just ask  DEAR OL' JESUS !!!

Scott

In the summer of 1957, we moved to Louisville, KY from Cincinnati, OH, and at Sun Oil Company's Company Picnic in a park along the Ohio, the adults got a girl my age and I to dance like crazy to this song!!! As I recall, someone had a nickel on a string that they could feed the jukebox with and after it "clinked", could pull it out to use again. We used it quite a few times!!! And this is the energy of how we danced (as I remember it):

Now, I just happened to see this last night on PBS-TV's fundraiser of Music of the 1950s that was M.C.'ed by Nick Clooney and that and the 1960s included MANY of Rosemary Clooney's songs. Like my own family, the Clooneys were devout Roman Catholics who started in Cincinnati and most migrated to Louisville. Rosemary's SISTER -- and also Eva Marie Saint's sister-in-law -- were my substitute teachers at St. Martha's Grade School.

Nick Clooney is Rosemary's BROTHER, and GEORGE CLOONEY is Nick's SON!!! Nick's wife and George's mother MIGHT HAVE BEEN THAT TEACHER!!!

The first jazz recording I remember my father bringing home to play on our new two-console Magnavox was:

I always DID seem to cross a lot of CELEBRATED PEOPLE'S PATHS!!! We lived next-door to Roy Rogers' first cousin on Ebenezer Road in Cincinnati, and twice a year, he and Dale Evans visited, dressed in character, and entertained us neighborhood kids!!!

Although, it was while I worked for Tennessee Williams (1981 - 1982), that I really hit the "meeting celebrities paydirt"!!!

I trust that Matt is cool with my posting all of this, so YOU know how to get the discount on his  NEW BOOK !!!

And this was a FORM EMAIL, which we all are forced to use in today's world with SO LITTLE TIME:

Ben Schachtman (who recently claimed he thinks his BEARD is one of his GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS), with five bearded female employees he supervises!!!

BUT, in his latest:

Ben SEEMS to have become FAR MORE HUMAN!!!

In today's Newsletter:

"Hey folks – Well, I hope you all enjoyed (and are still enjoying) your holiday weekends, and that you got time to spend with loved ones, overindulge on carbs, and kick your feet up a bit.

I love Thanksgiving – in fact, I think I may like it more than Christmas, Hanukkah, or New Year’s (and I'm no slouch in celebrating those holidays, by the way)

For one thing, Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season, so even when it’s over, there’s plenty to which we can look forward. New Year’s Day can feel like a bittersweet denouement, the Sunday afternoon of the season, with Monday morning perched menacingly on the horizon. Thanksgiving is Friday night. You can go all out, you can stay in wearing pajamas, there’s no wrong way to do it.

For another, the Thanksgiving meal is a great culinary challenge, asking that you do many things simply, well, and harmoniously. If you’ve led your own Turkey Day kitchen brigade (or, even more impressively, done all the cooking yourself), you know how satisfying it is. Also, I don’t know who hurt JD Vance, but I feel sorry for him – turkey, done correctly, is excellent.

More philosophically, Thanksgiving accepts us the way we are. We’re not making overambitious and dubiously-achievable plans to better ourselves – nor are we on the hook for a perfect gift. You show up; that is the gift. “No presents, just presence,” as one friend once put it. Yeah, it sounds a little hippy-dippy, but it’s kinda spot on. Black Friday is a grosser, bleaker story, sure, but on Thanksgiving itself, there’s no pressure, no commercialism, just communion.

Ok, there’s some pressure: Someone will inevitably show up with a new partner or spouse, a trial by fire for them, before an en banc panel of relatives and childhood friends. If that’s you this year, may the court be merciful.

And Ben continues:

  • From this week's Sunday Edition: A few thoughts on Thanksgiving, what it means, and the empty chairs at the holiday table. Plus, a few editor's notes on the end of a political dynasty, the latest on allegations against a prosecutor in the DA's office, and the beginning of filing season for next year's election.

>>> ONE THING THAT IS VERY INTERESTING is that Kevin Maurer has shown me NO ANNOYANCE for having told our story more deeply -- explaining how we BOTH are signed on as CIA AGENTS!!!

The Weather Continues . . . : CIA Agent Kevin Maurer (who co-wrote "No Easy Day" with "Mark Owen" -- actually Matt Bissonnette), is VERY SERIOUS in His Work TODAY!!! / THANK GOD that Rob Zapple is Running (again), for New Hanover County Commissioner!!! / Brunswick County's WIFE-STEALING, Presbyterian Elder, Republican District Attorney (twin brother to recently resigned Democrat D.A. married -- yet Homosexuality-practicing Benjamin R. David), is RETIRING (so the brothers can GROW their DRUG TRAFFICKING -- we MUST PRESUME)!!!

And Matt Bissonnette has shown NO ANNOYANCE with Kevin Maurer -- the CIA Agent who got PAID for ghost-writing his book -- yet left Matt in $6.8 Million debt to the  US Government !!!

There is a HUGE STORY HERE that we and even Ben Schachtman are part of and we ALL DESERVE TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY OFF THAT !!!

All that money WASTED on dead Jesus by Christians on Sundays would do nicely, no???
