>>> WHEN I SPOKE WITH MY NAZI MOTHER THIS MORNING , she broke down nearly sobbing -- because she could not seem to get her bank checking account to balance!!!

And then she said she was doing that BEFORE she got her statement in the mail from her bank!!! Mom doesn't do anything online except email, and next to none of that now. And she said she was waiting for a call from my brother Mike (a retired Oil Company Top Accountant), who does Mom's Taxes and explains financial things to her. Then she said she might have to just call Mike.

I got off the phone and called Mike and he answered (Mike refused my last three calls over the last three weeks -- because last we spoke, I caught him in MORE LIES and pointed out that my one Shrink he'd spoken with told me she caught Mike in SEVERAL LIES - and I should NEVER TRUST HIM!!!).

Mike said he hadn't spoken with Mom in a long time, and I explained she's suddenly -- finally, and at age 102 -- gone largely DAFT and was sitting around in tears trying to balance her checkbook and doesn't have her bank statement to do that. She kept saying that MIKE could straighten it out -- but she wasn't calling him!!!

Well, Mike and I got OVER our three-week-old TIFT, and he immediately called Mom!!!

Tennessee Williams was so captivated by Anna Magnani that he wrote an entire play just for her—The Rose Tattoo. But when he asked her to play Serafina Delle Rose on Broadway, she turned him down, worried that her limited English wouldn’t do the role justice. (Maureen Stapleton stepped in instead and won the 1951 Tony.)

That didn’t stop Tennessee and Anna from forming a lifelong friendship. He once described her:

"I never saw a more beautiful woman, with such big eyes and skin like Devonshire soap."

Anna felt at home with Tennessee, and when The Rose Tattoo was adapted for film, she finally took on the role of Serafina. Her performance was so powerful that she won the Oscar for Best Actress—though she skipped the ceremony, convinced she wouldn’t win (despite already taking home the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and critics’ awards!).
