The Weather Continues . . . : Saluting Wilmington, North Carolina Democrat Susi Hamilton!!!

In a fund-raising email for her re-election campaign, today, Susi Hamilton STRESSED her courageous stand AGAINST the devilish new NC Law codifying discrimination. Her email is long, so I'll publish part of it -- and my reply to her.

By now, I'm sure you've heard about what happened last week when Republicans called a Special Session to void Charlotte's nondiscrimination ordinance. House Bill 2 goes further than just stripping away power from a local government though. It is crystal clear in its legalization of discrimination and it sets an extremely dangerous precedent as it flagrantly flies in the face of both the Constitution and the laws that our country were founded upon--equality and justice for all.

Let's show Republican leadership and Governor McCrory that we are not this.

This discriminatory bill isn't turning the clock back 50 years; it's turning it back 150 years. It's unfair, unconstitutional, inhumane, regressive, and--as we've seen in the past few days--damaging to our state's economic future. The Governor of New York, as well as the Mayors of San Francisco and Seattle, have banned government travel to our state. The NBA and other organizations are ready to find somewhere other than Charlotte to host events and tech companies in RTP have denounced the legislation. Even Georgia's Governor knew that codifying discrimination went too far, resulting in his vetoing of hateful anti-LGBT legislation, and prompting remarks recognizing that it's time for people to realize the world is changing and it's time to change with it.

I voted NO on House Bill 2. In fact, I was the ONLY member of the Wilmington delegation who voted against this bill. I will not back down on this issue. If we want to change the direction our state is headed in, we have to support the leaders who aren't afraid to do what is right. That is why I'm asking for your support, so I can continue to stand up and fight for all of us.

Hi Susi -- and thank you for taking a courageous stand against a bunch of small-minded nincompoops, claiming Jesus as their "Chief Hater" and inspiration for their hateful non-sense!!!

OF COURSE everyone in Wilmington in public office must claim Christianity or be ridden out of town on a rail, but I do not see that you advertise any particular congregation, like most do.

And while I have NOT seen you take a stand for getting the Drug Corruption out of local politics, I have become more reasonable in recent days in acknowledging that many -- maybe even most -- do NOT know of Bill and Hillary Clinton's narco-trafficking with the recent owner of the New York Times/Wilmington Star News, Carlos Salim "Slim" Helu of Mexico -- wealthiest man on Earth -- until Hillary left the State Department, and his wealth began to fall again.

ALL sides of the press report that one of Hillary Clinton's top campaign funds sources is the Fossil Fuels Industry -- and especially Kenan-controlled Exxon-Mobil.

I know you HAD supported Hillary -- and our primary, which Bernie Sanders won in Wilmington, is over, so no huge hurry to publicly disavow the Clintons -- but if you don't soon enough, you will be seen as a BIG supporter of addicting our children to drugs, as SOME OTHER local politicians still do and many even PROFIT from, mightily.

So carry on, and please choose to walk with God, rather than Narco-Profiteers!!!
