Overnight, the "REBEL'S REST" at Sewanee (The University of the South), suffered very extensive damage.


"Originally built as the family home of Major George Fairbanks in 1866, the building is the one remaining campus structure from the re-founding of the university. The first post-Civil War meeting of the Board of Trustees was held there in October 1866."

I was NOWHERE near it -- nor was anyone else whom I am aware of knowing.

Could this be a message from GOD??? Sewanee and the God-Hating Episcopal Church who not only murdered Tennessee Williams then stole his estate from Harvard, only retired the Confederate Mace (their symbol of Authority), in 2005 -- and have been bitching about it since!!!

An overnight fire caused heavy damage to Rebel's Rest, the one campus structure that dates from the re-founding of the University after the Civil War. There were no injuries or damage to other buildings. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department is credited with saving the 148-year-old building from being a complete loss.   Scott Kenan Disgruntled Sewanee alumns, all lawyers in Birmingham, AL, contacted me via my blog in about 2008 to tell me that J. Neil Alexander (Sewanee decision-maker), had been using Tennessee Williams' estate to FAKE alumni donations, which fell off DRAMATICALLY, due to alumni supporting the CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG for Jesus. 3. And today, my electric bill arrived. After all the horror stories of the cost of air conditioning here in Puerto Vallarta (many claimed they do one room only, and it costs $100.00/month USD), my cost for a month of GENEROUS USE (included the time I was recovering from Water in Lungs, Congestive Heart Failure, and Pyloric Valve Troubles), came to only $43.46 USD extra!!!
